It's run by Asefa Dukamo of the Daye Bensa group and draws cherry from several hundred smallholders nearby, mostly local landrace varieties built around the 74112 selection. The track record matches the altitude — lots from Rumu Damo placed second, third and eighth at the 2020 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eOnce the cherries arrive, they're floated in water to sort them and remove the lighter floaters, then pulped and given a 48-hour wet fermentation.
