FAQ
Where do you ship from?
All orders are shipped from the UK. This means you can enjoy coffee from some of Europe’s best specialty roasters without the high shipping costs, long delivery times, or customs delays that can happen when ordering directly from Europe.
How fresh is the coffee?
All coffee is shipped fresh from recent roasting batches. Specialty coffee is usually best enjoyed after a short resting period following roasting, so most coffees are shipped within the optimal window for brewing. Read our guide on resting coffee for more info.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically dispatched quickly from the UK. We aim to despatch all orders made before 12pm on the same day. We use a tracked 48hr service for most orders. Most UK orders arrive within a few working days.
Do you roast the coffee yourselves?
No — we work with some of Europe’s most respected specialty coffee roasters. Our role is to curate and bring their coffees together in one place so UK coffee drinkers can access them easily.
What makes specialty coffee different?
Specialty coffee focuses on quality at every stage — from the farm and processing methods through to roasting and brewing. These coffees are usually traceable to specific farms or regions and are roasted to highlight the unique flavours of the beans.
Are the coffees better for espresso or filter?
Each coffee can suit different brewing methods depending on its roast style and flavour profile. On each product page we indicate whether a coffee works best for espresso, filter, or both.
How should I store my coffee?
Coffee is best stored in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep the bag sealed when not in use and avoid storing coffee in the fridge, as moisture and odours can affect flavour.
Do you sell whole beans or ground coffee?
Most specialty coffee is sold as whole beans to preserve freshness and flavour. You will need a grinder at home or at your café to grind the coffee just before brewing.
Will you be adding more roasters?
Yes. We are always looking to add exceptional specialty coffee roasters to the lineup. Our goal is to bring together some of the most exciting roasters in Europe and make their coffees easily available in the UK.
How do I choose a coffee?
You can browse coffees by roaster, flavour profile, origin, or brew method. If you enjoy bright, fruit-forward coffees try Ethiopian or Kenyan coffees. If you prefer sweeter, chocolatey flavours, look for coffees from Central or South America.
