TANAT Coffee

TANAT is a specialty coffee roaster based in Paris, France, founded in 2016 and known for precision roasting and consistency from batch to batch. Rather than imposing a house signature, TANAT builds each profile to express the terroir and processing of the coffee in front of them, adjusting as harvests and post-harvest methods change.

Sourcing directly from farms, producers and cooperatives they often know over many years, TANAT works with competition-level micro-lots alongside a permanent single-origin selection spanning bright, expressive filters and rounder espresso profiles. The work has carried weight in the wider scene: co-founder Alexis Gagnaire took silver at the 2021 French Roasting Championship, and in 2024 Tanat was named the best independent coffee shop in Europe.
