Manhattan – Sweet Valley 250g | Colombia
About This Coffee
Sweet Valley is a distinctive coffee produced at the renowned Potosí farm, part of the celebrated Café Granja La Esperanza group in Colombia. Originally discontinued, this coffee was revived in collaboration with CGLE, with processing and production redeveloped exclusively for Manhattan Coffee Roasters.
The lot is produced from the Colombia variety, a cultivar developed by Cenicafé by crossing Caturra with the Hybrido de Timor. Created to offer strong disease resistance while maintaining quality cup characteristics, this variety played an important role in helping Colombian producers combat coffee leaf rust.
For this lot, the cherries undergo a 15-hour controlled fermentation before being transferred to a dehumidified drying environment for around 72 hours until fully dried. This careful processing helps develop the coffee’s vivid fruit character and signature sweetness.
The result is a lively, fruit-driven cup with notes of candy apple, plum and hibiscus, finishing with the juicy and vibrant character that has made Sweet Valley a favourite among Manhattan fans.
Freshly roasted by Manhattan Coffee Roasters in Rotterdam and imported to the UK by ROAST EDIT Co.
