About This Coffee

Viani is a long-standing coffee in the Manhattan Coffee Roasters lineup, valued for its rich, classic profile and consistent quality. Sourced from the region of Cundinamarca in Colombia, this coffee is produced by a network of more than 400 smallholder farmers across several municipalities.

The cup reflects a traditional Colombian profile — full-bodied, rich and balanced, with a gentle acidity that adds structure without overpowering the sweetness. It’s an approachable yet characterful coffee, ideal for those who enjoy deeper, more intense flavour profiles.

Manhattan has worked closely with partners including Racafé and DR Wakefield to steadily improve the quality of this coffee over time. Enhancements in sorting and storage, along with the use of GrainPro, have helped reduce defects and increase consistency, while also supporting higher prices for producers.

Production in the region has become more challenging in recent years due to changing climate conditions, making long-term partnerships and quality improvements even more important. Many of the contributing farms are small and diversified, growing crops such as plantain and avocado alongside coffee to support their livelihoods.

The result is a dependable and well-structured Colombian coffee with depth, balance and a strong connection to the producers behind it.
