People Possession – Industrial Supply Series [RED] {Filter} 200g | Colombia

Industrial Supply Series [RED] — known in-house as Cherry Blossom — is a Huila lot sourced from several producers rather than a single named farm, built around Castillo — Colombia's most widely planted variety, developed specifically for disease resistance and reliable yield — and processed as a natural co-fermented specifically with red cherry. As with People Possession's other co-fermented lots, this means whole cherries (in this case, a separate batch of ripe cherry fruit) are introduced into the fermentation tank alongside the coffee cherries, letting their sugars shape the fermentation directly rather than relying on the coffee cherry's own mucilage alone.

Grown at 1,750 metres, the coffee goes through a natural process as its base — cherries dried whole rather than pulped first — which already tends to produce a fruitier, heavier-bodied cup than a washed process would. Layering a red cherry co-fermentation on top of that pushes the fruit character further still, aiming for something that reads less like "coffee with fruit notes" and more like the fruit itself.

That intent comes through clearly in the cup: strawberry laces up front — more confectionery than fresh fruit — moving into a rounder cherry note, with vanilla settling in on the finish. It's a playful, dessert-leaning cup, fitting for a lot internally coded Cherry Blossom.

Being sourced from multiple growers rather than one farm, this is a coffee built around a consistent house style and technique rather than a single producer's story.
