DAK – Blueberry Beats 250g | Ethiopia
About This Coffee
Blueberry Beats comes from the Baturo washing station in the Bura area of Ethiopia’s Sidama region. It’s grown at an unusually high 2,360–2,440 metres above sea level, and the lot is made up of heirloom varieties — the mix of local landraces long grown across this part of southern Ethiopia rather than a single named cultivar.
The process is anaerobic natural: whole cherries are sealed in tanks for a period of fermentation before being moved out to dry, rather than going straight onto raised beds after picking.
In the cup it’s distinctly fruity — blueberry and strawberry jam sit alongside vanilla and a broader ripe, almost stewed-fruit character. A lively, sweetness-forward filter coffee.
Freshly roasted by DAK Coffee Roasters in Amsterdam and imported to the UK by ROAST EDIT Co.
