Jazz Fruits is DAK Coffee Roasters' entry-level espresso from Ethiopia — a natural community lot from Bensa, Sidama, processed in collaboration with Daye Bensa under the Iron Lion lot name. DAK describe it as one of the best picks they've made in terms of price-to-quality, and the profile bears that out: juicy, fruity, and expressively approachable.

Daye Bensa is an exporter working in Sidama, specialising in community lots that bring together smallholder farmers from a single area into one traceable lot. The Iron Lion lot sources its cherries from the Bensa area at an altitude of 2000 metres, where local landrace varieties are grown.

Natural processing means the whole cherry dries with the bean inside before the dried fruit is removed.

In the cup: stone fruits and berries at the front, white chocolate sweetness at the base, and a creamy mouthfeel that carries everything together.
