People Possession's Essential Standards range is their plain-can line — their own framing is "the can is basic so the coffee doesn't have to be." Less design, more coffee.

This one is a fully washed Kenyan from Karimikui Washing Station in Kirinyaga, taking cherry from farms between 1700 and 1900 metres. Karimikui is one of the factories of the Rungeto Farmers Co-operative Society, a name that carries real weight in Kenyan coffee.

The varieties are the Kenyan standards: Batian, Ruiru 11, SL28 and SL34.

People Possession give the cup a single word: berries.
