TANAT – Monteblanco [Strawberry] 200g | Colombia

Finca Monteblanco sits at 1,730 metres above the town of Pitalito, in the south of Huila, Colombia, and is run by Rodrigo Sanchez. The farm is known for its fermentation work, and this lot is one of its co-ferments.

The variety is Caturra. For this lot the cherries were co-fermented with a red-fruit nectar and added yeasts, then dried as a natural, whole in the fruit. Co-fermentation means adding other ingredients to the fermentation alongside the coffee.

In the cup: strawberry, blueberry and yoghurt, with a smooth, intensely fruity finish.
